Ways to work with the Council

Secretariat roles

Permanent and fixed-term roles at the Secretariat covering membership, partnerships, events, communications and administration.

Chapter roles

Chapter leads, executive directors and committee officers. Some are voluntary, some remunerated by the chapter.

How we recruit

Vacancies are published here with a role description, the salary or fee range, and the closing date. The Council does not accept payment from candidates at any stage.

  1. A published role description setting out responsibilities and the criteria applied.
  2. Written application, assessed against those criteria.
  3. Interview with at least two people.
  4. References, and an offer in writing.

Speculative applications

The Council accepts speculative applications. Write to [email protected] with a CV and a short note on what you would contribute. Applications are kept for [Insert retention period] and then deleted, as set out in the privacy policy.

Membership

Join the Council

Applications are free to submit and are assessed by the Membership Committee. Fees are payable only if your application is approved.

Partnership

Work with CIBET

Chambers, institutions, associations, corporates and public bodies can partner with the Council on programmes, events and delegations.
