How governance works

The Governing Council sets direction, approves policy, and owns the membership standard. It meets [Insert frequency] and its members serve terms of [Insert length].

  • Members are appointed by [Insert appointment process].
  • Declared interests are published against each profile and updated when they change.
  • A Council member with an interest in a matter withdraws from the decision on it.
  • The Council delegates membership decisions to the Membership Committee and conduct matters to the Conduct and Ethics Committee.

Concerns about the conduct of any member or representative are handled under the code of conduct, which sets out the process and the possible outcomes.
