What this programme is
CIBET provides advisory trade support — guidance on market selection, documentation requirements, partner identification and due-diligence questions. The Council is not a statutory chamber of commerce and does not issue Certificates of Origin, ATA Carnets or any customs documentation.
What the Council does
- Market guidance: helping you test whether a target market is viable before you spend on it.
- Documentation guidance: identifying which documents a market requires, and which body issues each one.
- Partner search: identifying potential distributors, agents or counterparts through the member network and chapters.
- Referral: pointing you to the authorised chamber or agency in the relevant country when formal certification is needed.
What the Council does not do
- It does not issue Certificates of Origin. Those are issued by chambers authorised by a national customs administration.
- It does not issue ATA Carnets or any other customs documentation.
- It does not act as your customs broker, freight forwarder or legal adviser.
- It does not guarantee any counterpart introduced through the network. Due diligence remains yours.

Who this programme suits
This programme sits under the Global Expansion pillar and is open to all members. It is used most by members active in the CIBET global councils working in this area.
If you are not yet a member, applications are free to submit and are assessed by the Membership Committee against published criteria. Fees are payable only on approval. Compare the five membership categories, or ask the Secretariat which route fits your situation.
