What this programme is
A CIBET delegation is organised around objectives collected from participants before travel. The programme is built to meet those objectives, and each participant receives a written record of the meetings arranged for them. Delegations without a business programme are not run.
How a delegation is built
- Participants state what they want from the visit before the programme is set.
- The Council and its partners in the destination market arrange meetings against those objectives.
- Each participant receives a written schedule with named counterpart organisations.
- A follow-up point is set after return, because value is usually lost in the weeks afterwards.
What participation involves
- A participation fee covering the programme, published per mission.
- Your own travel and accommodation, unless stated otherwise.
- Preparation: counterparts expect you to know what you are asking for.
- Attendance at the full business programme, not selected parts of it.
What members get out of it
Stated as outcomes rather than activities, because what matters is what changes.

Who this programme suits
This programme sits under the Global Expansion pillar and is open to all members. It is used most by members active in the CIBET global councils working in this area.
If you are not yet a member, applications are free to submit and are assessed by the Membership Committee against published criteria. Fees are payable only on approval. Compare the five membership categories, or ask the Secretariat which route fits your situation.
