Committees and industry forums

Standing committees and sector forums, each working to a published remit for a fixed term.

A committee that produces nothing in its term is wound up rather than quietly continued. Each finishes with a written output attributed to its contributors and dated.

Joining a committee

Committees marked open accept expressions of interest from any member. Write to the membership team or speak to your chapter lead.

  1. Say which committee, and what you would contribute to its current remit.
  2. The chair reviews expressions of interest at the start of each term.
  3. Members serve for the committee's term and may be reappointed.
  4. Members declare any interest in a matter and withdraw from the decision on it.

The Membership Committee and the Conduct and Ethics Committee are appointed rather than open, because both take decisions about individual members.
